AMERICA'S FOUNDATION AS A CHRISTIAN NATION
Supreme Court decision: Holy Trinity v. United States (1892)
"No purpose of action against religion can be imputed to any legislation, state or national, because this is a religious people. This is a Christian nation."
Atop the Washington Monument are the words "Laus Deo - Praise be to God"
congress prints and distributes Bibles . . .
Following the Revolutionary War there was a great shortage of Bibles in America, and England had outlawed the printing of bibles here in the "colonies." So, on September 10, 1781 the United States Congress adopted a Congressional Resolution granting Robert Aitken permission and financial support for the printing of the first edition of the first America Bible. Some 20,000 Bibles were printed and distributed throughout America.
Secular/progressivism is trying to overshadow the Christian faith in America. What had begun as a nation founded on a faith in God has gradually descended into a nation where man has supplanted himself as God, i.e., man is a god unto himself.
Secular-Humanism. In the 1950's, Humanists sought and obtained tax-exempt status as religious organizations. Even the Supreme Court of the United States spoke in 1961 of Secular Humanism as a religion. Let's see if we can tweak this hypocrisy a bit further. Secular-Humanism, defined now as a religion, is being taught in a number of public schools in America. http://www.truthmagazine.com/archives/volume28/GOT028219.html
Atheists will now be protected under US law as part of new legislation promoting religious freedom signed in by U.S. President Barack Obama. http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/atheists-legal-protection-us-religious-freedom-bill-signed-barack-obama-a7489641.html
"the separation of church and state" . . .
The term "separation of church and state" is never mentioned in the U.S. Constitution. The wording actually came from a letter written in 1802 by President Thomas Jefferson to a Baptist church in Danbury, Connecticut. The Danbury Baptists had written to President Jefferson expressing their concerns that the government would impose doctrines on them that were contrary to the tenets of their faith because the Connecticut State Legislature had already begun infringing on their rights as a Christian denomination by trying to impose on them a state religion. In the letter from President Jefferson he assured them that the U.S. Government would never force any denomination, or any rules governing their denomination, on their church. In that letter he stated, "There is a wall of separation" at the federal level. Jefferson's letter was never intended to suggest that all matters of religion (faith) should be divorced from the government and that it was never the intent that God be excluded from government or the public square.
In subsequent years the Supreme Court has taken great pains to contort the original intent of President Jefferson's letter as though it were doctrine laid down by the founding fathers. It has now been twisted to mean God is not welcome in government. The First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution reads: "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press, or of the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."
In an ironic twist, in June of 2005 the U.S. Supreme Court held that displays of the 10 Commandments would not be permitted on courthouses, while Moses and the 10 Commandments is the most prominent feature on the front of the Supreme Court Building in Washington, D.C.
Coaches often find themselves in the crosshairs of the law for having voluntary prayer before a sporting event. Teachers are even afraid to mention the name of God for fear of losing their jobs. They've made it clear that God is "Not Welcome" in government, in the schools, or in the public square. And yet, in an ironic twist, some ask "Where was God when all those school students were killed?" Maybe God's reply might go something like this -- "You have said that I AM is forbidden in the schools."
Is there any hope for America? Has "The Home of the Free and the Land of the Brave" gone too far away from God that there is no turning back? Here's what God had to say about the matter:
"If my people, who are called by my name, shall humble themselves and pray, and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land." (2 Chronicles 7:14)

PROPHETIC WARNING TO AMERICA -- The United States of America has been blessed beyond measure, but,
Because your original virtue has been corrupted into a worship of worldly pleasure and sinful indulgence -- you are in danger of The Judgment.
Because you celebrate and hold in high esteem that which is an abomination and hold in regard those who engage in such things -- you are in danger of the Judgment.
Because you have declared that man, and not God, will decide what is a union between a man and a woman, and that which was declared by God as a holy and sacred union you have turned into that which is unholy -- you are in danger of The Judgment.
Because you have declared that life itself, breathed upon by a holy God, to be nothing more than tissue to be discarded at will as an "inconvenience" -- you are in danger of The Judgment.
Because you have declared that man, and not Almighty God, will determine what is male and what is female -- you are in danger of The Judgment.
Because you have turned "Truth" into a "Lie," and you have turned "Lies" into "Truth" -- you are in danger of The Judgment.
IS THERE HOPE FOR AMERICA?
"If my people, who are called by My name, will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sins and heal their land." (2 Chronicles 7:14)
